The Certificate in Homeland Security is useful to current criminal justice professionals as well as individuals who would like to begin new careers. Individuals with training in terrorism will find a range of new career opportunities as this field grows in upcoming years. Students will learn about modern-day terrorist techniques and analyze response plans and security proposals. This program is available to criminal justice majors, qualified non-majors in related fields, and practitioners in the field of criminal justice who are not regularly enrolled.
This certificate is awarded to students who complete the required courses with an accumulated grade point average of 2.0 or higher. Andrew Jackson University coursework completed to meet the requirements of a previously-awarded certificate may be applied toward this certificate. No more than 50% of the certificate program can be earned through transfer credit or credit-by-examination. Credit awarded for experiential learning is not applicable to a certificate program. |
