Certificate in Corrections
The Certificate in Corrections is designed to prepare students for employment in correctional institutions or upgrade the professional abilities of practitioners in corrections. It may also provide career advancement opportunities for employees of federal, state and county correctional agencies. Areas of emphasis include counseling and rehabilitation of the offender, probation and parole, and juvenile corrections. This curriculum will meet course requirements toward the Associate of Science or the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice for those students who wish to continue their education beyond the certificate level.

This certificate is awarded to students who complete the required courses with an accumulated grade point average of 2.0 or higher. Andrew Jackson University coursework completed to meet the requirements of a previously-awarded certificate may be applied toward this certificate. No more than 50% of the certificate program can be earned through transfer credit or credit-by-examination. Credit awarded for experiential learning is not applicable to a certificate program.
